Courses
|
The lessons last for 45 minutes each and take place from Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 11.45 a.m. or 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 a.m. (intensive course). The experience, competent and enthusiastic teachers are all native Italian speakers. The classes are organised by level and contain a maximum of 14 students. On the day they arrive, students sit a test which evaluates their level and the class which will be best suited to them. Tests on Fridays and mini-tests on Wednesdays are especially designed to precisely estimate the progress students make each week. At the end of the camp, you will receive an ESL certificate attesting your Italian language level.

Communication course

In order to deal with real situations of everyday life, a specific communication course will allow you to learn to speak Italian with ease, This course takes place twice a week at a rate of 2x45 minutes.

One-to-one course
|
Ideal for making progress quickly, this course gives you the benefit of entirely personalised teaching. The teacher is entirely at your disposal and will prepare a tailor-made programme for you. LANGUAGE COURSES
Our aim
|
Our main goal is to awake students' interest in learning a language. In Fact, we feel that the more concerned our students feel the better they will learn. We achieve this, first of all, by creating a young and dynamic atmosphere in our lessons with topics that really motivate the students. Moreover, parallel activities complement the study work wonderfully by familiarising students with the spontaneous use of what they learned in the classroom. The programme is adapted to all levels and allows each student to improve his grammatical skills and develop his communication skills alongside his understanding of written and spoken French. Our principal strategy involves four important stages : discovery, improvement, revision and progression.

Placement of students in class-levels
On arrival, the participants take a test which will allow them to be placed in relevant groups with corresponding language levels. Each student will, therefore study in a class corresponding to his own level in the foreign language.
Teaching method
The teaching staff are young and dynamic native speakers. They set out to create a relaxed, amusing and motivating atmosphere with lesson themes our students can relate to. During the extracurricular activities, they continue to encourage their students to use the language being studied.
 | Ascona Course Centre
| Our school is in a beautiful building and is only few steps away from "the Lago Maggiore". The inner court of the school build in 19. Century, the residence and the sports sites exhibits both modern and historical character. The course center possesses a first-class training and sport mechanism: Volleyball, football and basketball places, comfortable and well furnished classrooms (audio and video devices, Beamer), computer area with free Internet connection, auditory, cinema and a play salon with baby Foot and other games.
The residence "Casa Sant Amalia ", which lies only 200 meters far away from the course center, offers modern double or three-rooms to the studying with Mezzanine and private bathroom. The meals are taken in the Cafeteria.

Supervision
|
We want the supervision of our students to be efficient and discreet so that everybody can get the most out of their stay in complete security. Our staff take particular care to supervise all our students in accordance with their age. From the first day to the last, we are there, ready to offer the help required by each student and to provide suitable security. In the residences, 24-hour physical surveillance is carried out on foot. Emergency numbers are reachable round the clock in every location.
Pocket money service
Operating like a mini-bank, our pocket money service is open every day to students who wish to pay in or withdraw money.
Web access & telephones
There's nothing like a quick e-mail for keeping in touch with your family. That's why all our course centres are equipped so that our students can exchange e-mails with their friends and families. Even the Alpine locations are in areas with good mobile phone coverage. Furthermore, all the residential centres have phonecard telephone booths for the students' use.

Teaching staff

Our staff is composed of helpful and enthusiastic young teachers. They adapt themselves to their classes and give the individual attention that might be necessary. During sports or cultural afternoons teachers accompany and coach the students. They encourage them to speak French and to use what has been studied.

| At the end of their stay, each student receives an ESL certificate, attesting to their participation in our course, the level of language achieved and their results.

| In order to make every stay a successful one, we offer a rich and varied activity programme every day, as well as excursions to the most popular tourist attractions of the regions where we have our centres.
Included activities & excursions
Our standard activity programme takes place every day and is fully included in the cost of the stay. Extremely varied, it enables students to take part in a wide range of sports and other activities. All these activities are organised, supervised and run by the team for each course centre.
Optional activities
For students wishing to practise specific sports, such as mountain biking, horse riding or squash, we also offer an optional activity programme. Take advantage of the chance to discover new sports.
"Adventure" activities
For the more adventurous, we offer a rich cocktail of optional "adventure" activities encompassing altitude, speed, sporting performance and water sports. All these activities are supervised by professionals.
Evening entertainment
Whether it's a film, barbecue or disco evening, the entertainment team pulls out all the stops so that you, and the other ESL students, enjoy some unforgettable moments. These expertly-organised evenings offer another chance to practise the language being studied in a relaxed atmosphere.
